True Friendship as taught by Samwise Gamgee
This clip Hits me so deep every time I watch it, those lines by Sam, "I can't carry it for you, BUT I CAN CARRY YOU!" How true that is and It carries over into real life. Lately I've had to watch some of my friends Go through so much junk in there lives, they have these heavy massive burdens on their shoulders, no one else can really carry it for them, Its weighs them down until they can hardly walk through life anymore. We may not be able to carry these burdens for them BUT WE CAN CARRY THEM! We can carry them through the rough times with our support and friendship and most importantly by lifting them up and carrying them with Prayer. I don't just mean the empty oh I'll pray for you, I mean Really Really Pray for them and pray with them. We need to stand by our friends in there time of need. We need to be constantly encourageing each other through our battles in life.
Hebrews 10:24-25 24And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.
I really feel like I have more to say about this but my thoughts aren't as collected as I'd like them to be so that is all for now

You know You're Dutch When....
The temperature is so low in your house that 2 sweaters is a bare minimum if you want to be remotely warm.
During the winter it's warmer outside than it is inside.
You burst in laughter when someone bumps their head or stubs their toe.
You open the freezer and are excited to find a container of ice-cream, only to open it and discover it's full of homemade soup or stamppot.
When looking in the fridge, you never trust that the yogurt or margarine containers contain what the label says.
You were green before it was popular. Why recycle when you can just reuse!
You have a pair a wooden shoes in your house.
Your china cabinet is filled with Delft.
You like pickled herring.
You've eaten oliebollen at New Years.
You enjoy chocolate sprinkle (hagelslag) sandwiches.
You have cousins who wear size 14 shoes and are over 6'4".
You wash and reuse plastic cups and plastic cutlery.
You have soup and open-faced sandwiches for Sunday lunch.
The most frequent phrase uttered growing up was "Turn off the lights!"
You get a chocolate letter every year for Christmas.
All the tables in your house are covered in tablecloths.
You know that Vla is better than regular old pudding.
You drink tea with breakfast, coffee at 10 am, tea at 3 pm, and coffee again at 8 pm (with cookies or biscuits of course!).
You have an afghan knitted by your Oma.
You collect coupons like they're going out of style.
Your Oma had a calendar with everyone's birthdays & anniversaries spelled out in capital letters.
You've been known to recycle aluminum foil. And ziploc bags.
You own a special utensil that is only used for cutting cheese.
You know that Gouda is the best cheese ever.
You have at least 5 relatives with the same name (and somehow you always know which one is being talked about).
You reuse teabags.
When you hear all the "new ways to save energy" you yawn and say "I've been doing that all my life!"
You eat your sandwiches open-faced. "What? You want another slice of bread? I'll make you another sandwich."
You rarely have both meat and cheese on the same sandwich.
You have never met half the relatives at your family reunion. (Really Really My Family!)
You drive a minivan to fit all the kids.
You have 100 roles of toilet paper in your house because they were on sale.
You put a little water into the jar of tomato sauce and shake it to make sure you got it all out.
You have trouble shopping for hats. There should be at least two sizes: 'one size fits all' and 'dutch.'
You wipe the last of the butter out of the container with your bun.
All your cookies taste like almonds.
You make the bed in your hotel room.
You've put mayonnaise on your french fries.
You have a front room but nobody sits in it (or it's only used for special occasions).
You have a spoon collection.
You leave a window open year round to get fresh air.
You eat stroop waffles.
You love the colour orange.
You have a vegetable garden because there's no way you're paying that much for veggies at the grocery store.
Your fridge is always stocked with leftovers. Throw out food? Never!
You go to the "Dutch Store" because the smell brings back so many childhood memories.
You have pictures of windmills around your house.
Everything is Do-It-Yourself - it's cheaper than hiring someone.
You use "washandjes" (facecloths that you can put your hand into).
You have to explain what 'oom' and 'tante' means when you're discussing your relatives with non-Dutch people.
You own tea towels and oven mitts patterned with windmills and dancing women in clogs.
You call it "MELK" not "milk."
All your cousins have the same names as your brothers and sisters because everyone is named after Oma and Opa.
98 percent of this is my Crazy Dutch descended family!

This kinda all over the Place
Ok where to start this.............
I want to be Fluent in: Spanish, German, Laotian, Chinese, Japanese, Russian, and Indian,
I want to travel all over the world Experiencing new Cultures, and spread some of Christ Love while I'm at it.
I really Don't know were my life is Going at the Moment I really really need to pray for and need prayer for Direction. I don't really know where I'm supossed to be at. I had applied for OM http://www.om.org/ but I kinda Freaked out and Reallized last January was to soon for me to Join and I left them hanging.
I still feel like missions of some sort is still my calling, but I'm not sure how when or where.
I was made for this sort of stuff, this One Horse town (okay Three horses) isn't enough to contain what I'm meant for. I need a new adventure. Don't get me Wrong I love West Michigan, But I'm meant to be a traveler. Just Wish I knew Where. Guess its time for A lot of Seeking at Praying.

Moving
It’s time for me to grow up and be independent, its time for me to move out of my parents house and into my own place, there’s not really anything wrong with where I live, Its just time for me to move. It feels like things are getting tight there because it’s been time for me to move on with my adult life. It’s my personal goal, to move by my 22nd birthday (September 30) Even if I have to have like 15 roommates. This is going to take a ton of work and money saving, but I’m convinced that with God’s help I can do it.
Also lately I feel a strange pull to move someplace further away for a change, the Other side of the state or maybe even out of state, I’m really not sure what the reason for this is. I don’t know if there is a real reason for this, or if I’m just restless and that eager to move out of my parents house. I’m not really sure. Please pray for me when it comes to this.

I Hate Killing
I simply do no not understand how someone can take the life of another human being. what gives us the right to choose who live and who dies. what sort of anger could posses someone so much, that it would cause them to actually take the life of another.
A friend of mine was murdered last week. He was Just an 18 year old kid. He was killed by one of his own friends. He was beaten and stabbed to death. no one knows for sure why this happened. I heard a rumor that this was over a girl, but that may just be a rumor. How can someone get so angry over something so trivial that they would kill one of there own friends? I don’t understand this at all. I’m convinced that people must be under some sort of possession when they kill in anger like this. I hate it.

Let me spell it out
Yo no tengo Trabajo.

They Just Won't
All your promises won't let go of me
no matter how hard I try to throw them in the trash and go my own way
All you promises just won't let go of me.
No matter how much I try to run away
all your promises won't let go of me
no matter how much I moan and wine
All your promises wont let go of me
Thank you God for a Savior
Who won't let go of me
no matter how hard I try to throw them in the trash and go my own way
All you promises just won't let go of me.
